Our candles are made with essential oils, botanical extracts, and natural waxes—no synthetics. Some essential oils can be a bit much for our furry friends, especially cats, so we recommend burning candles in a well-ventilated space and keeping them out of reach of curious paws. Aside from sensitivities, pets are naturally playful and inquisitive, so it’s best to avoid placing candles where they might be knocked over or explored too closely. If your pet has sensitivities or you’re unsure, it’s always best to check with your vet.

We use a coconut and soy wax ensuring a clean burn.

We use 100% cotton wicks in our candles, free from lead or zinc, ensuring a clean and safe burn.

The first burn of a candle is extremely important for ensuring that it burns evenly in the future. When lighting your candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax melts completely across the surface, making sure that it is reaching the edges of the container. This process may take a few hours, and as a guideline, let the candle burn for about one hour per inch of its diameter. Additionally, proper wick maintenance is essential. Avoid trimming the wick too short, as it can prevent the candle from burning hot enough and lead to tunneling. However, leaving the wick too long may cause the candle to burn too hot and produce smoke.

Not quite. While “natural” fragrance oils may begin with plant-based materials, they are modified in a lab to isolate, enhance, or standardize specific scent compounds. While not always synthetic in origin, they are chemically altered and often include a mix of natural and synthetic components, including “nature-identical” aroma chemicals created to mimic plant scents.

It is also important to note that many “natural” fragrance oils contain synthetic compounds, despite being marketed as plant-based. Phrases like “infused with essential oils” are often used to make products appear more natural than they truly are. In most cases, these fragrances are lab-made, with only a small amount of essential oil added for marketing purposes.

After a health diagnosis, our co-founder Alice developed a heightened sensitivity to synthetic fragrance, often experiencing migraines and nausea from exposure. That experience inspired us to create Wndrmade as a truly natural alternative for those who want to avoid synthetic fragrance and appreciate the depth and beauty of real botanical ingredients. Our goal is to create plant-based fragrances that are intentional, complex, and genuinely rooted in nature.

Yes. Our fragrances are phthalate-free and made without synthetic preservatives.

We do not use fragrance oils. We use only real plant ingredients, including pure essential oils and botanical extracts. Every ingredient is carefully selected to stay true to our commitment to actual plant-based formulations. Nothing is chemically reconstructed or made in a lab to imitate nature.

All Wndrmade fragrances are made with pure essential oils and whole botanical extracts, offering a thoughtful option for those sensitive to synthetic fragrance. Our incense cones are made using only natural, raw ingredients such as wood resins. We never use synthetic fragrances, ensuring a pure and natural experience.

Each cone typically burns for approximately 12-20 minutes, filling your space with a natural and soothing aroma.

Our incense cones are currently offered in Cedar, Sandalwood, and Palo Santo. Each scent is thoughtfully crafted to create a calming and grounding experience. We’re excited to expand our range with additional scents in the future and incense sticks are also on the way!

We ship from New York so it depends on where you are located. Orders are processed within 1-3 business days and standard shipping will take an additional 5-8 business days to arrive. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.

We have been notified by our shipping carriers that there may be unexpected delays in receiving your packages. Please note that once the package is shipped, it is out of our control and shipping delays may happen occasionally, especially during peak shopping season or under severe weather conditions.

We use most major shipping carriers. Delivery schedules can often times be impacted by bad weather or the holidays. We alternate between USPS or UPS and will choose one that will provide the fastest shipping to your shipping address.

A tracking number will be provided to you once your order has been fulfilled. It may arrive sooner but if you do not receive your package in a timely manner, please be patient as we all work to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

In the warmer months, we add a thermal wrap to help protect your candle from heat in transit. It’s a simple way to guard against melting or oil pooling while your order makes its way to you.

We encourage you to save and reuse it. It’s useful for keeping items cool or cushioning future shipments. If you’re ready to part with it, most grocery stores or soft plastic drop-offs will accept it with plastic bags.
